The Book

Due for publication in September 2011, UNION: The Heart of Rugby is being produced by internationally acclaimed book publisher, PQ Blackwell. The book will showcase the winning images in a spectacular large-format coffee-table book of 200 pages measuring 28.5cm x 26cm (portrait).

UNION: The Heart of Rugby will be published in the United Kingdom and Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa, Australia and France. Alongside the images, the book will include an original text by award winning author Paul Thomas exploring eight core creeds that underpin the sport: Pride Honour, Passion, Pain, Team, Heroes, Courage and Glory.

The author’s text is based on interviews with five of the game’s greatest modern day players commissioned especially for the book: John Kirwan (New Zealand), Nick Farr-Jones (Australia), Philippe Sella (France), Joel Stransky (South Africa) and Martin Johnson (England), commissioned especially for the book.
